Having a drink...

"No...Im ok..." Claire looked down, her smile faded.

Peter, seeing Claire looking low, leant over and whispered " Sorry Claire. It's just you have to be careful with questions like that." He leant away and smiled at her.

She looked up and nodded.

Hiro just shrugged and said, "Don't worry. It's ok, it's not like I'll never see them again or anything. We've just fallen out, that's all." He was silent for a moment and stared at the floor. Suddenly he looked up. "Yes, thank you Peter, I would like a drink this time."

Claire smiled and placed her hand on his. "Im sure youll work things out between them..I kind of have.." She grined.

"Of course. What were you drinking?" He smiled and stood up, holding out his hand to pick up Hiro's cup and his own.

"Ummm anything. I don't mind." He stared at the counter to see what was on offer. "Ohh something strong."

"Ok." Peter smiled and picked up the mugs. He wandered over to the counter and ordered two more drinks. When they were ready he went back to Claire and Hiro. "Here you go"

Claire looked out the window, she didnt know what to say...

"What's up Claire? You seem a little distracted."

"Oh, no..Im fine..just feeling a bit, distant.."

Peter frowned, "How do you mean?" He sipped some of his drink and looked across at Claire. Something was up.

"Day dreaming, thats all.." She smiled at Peter.

Peter smiled, "It has to be healthy to day dream. They should do an experiment on it! I always feel better after a good session of it." He smiled back and took another sip of his drink.

She laughed and sipped her coffee, thinking about something, someone..

Peter frowned at her, then smiled. He'd seen that look before on many people's faces. He laughed loudly, making a few people turn round and look at him. His cheeks warmed slightly but he still couldn't stop grinning.

She looked up at Peter frowning "Something funny?"

Peter smiled, "Oh no, no. Just something in your eyes. It made me laugh!" He chuckled some more then finished off his drink. He glanced out of the window, seeing the sun starting to get lower in the sky.

"What was in my eyes?" She looked conserned.

Peter smiled, "Oh just something i've seen many times."

"Like? Peter, please..make sense.." She frowned.

Peter smiled, "You were daydreaming. But not the normal, absent minded daydreams which most people have. You were dreamin of someone!" He chuclked, knowing he was right.

She looked into her empty cup "Peter thats none of your buisness.."

"Oh i know. Sorry, i didn't mean to upset you. It was just ver obvious. It made me laugh, sorry." He bit his lip, worried that Clare wouldn't forgive him for his rudeness.

She smiled "Don't worry about it Peter.." She laughed.
